The system comprises a length of wire rope with a ferruled soft eye at one end and a Gripple, for terminating the rope, at the other.

Hang-fast replaces threaded rod - no more sawing, filing or fixing nuts.
Material cost savings - cheaper than rod and chain. Hang-Fast can be installed at any angle to the suspended object unlike rod which must be vertical.
