The Similana Resort is located in Khao Lak, a coast
full of excellent beaches for vacationers seeking to escape the
tourist crowds on Phuket Island. Perched on a hill, the resort commands
views of white sandy beaches, rock formations, and lush vegetation.
Similana has the amenities of a standard beach resort, but on a
completely private and unspoiled bay.
Rooms and Meals 
Rooms are of three types. Deluxe bungalows are air-conditioned chalets
with broad verandahs overlooking the bay. Bungalows can comfortably
accommodate couples or small families. Tree houses (air-conditioned
or fan) are on stilts right near the beach. Hotel rooms are spacious
rooms in a two-story hotel building.
The restaurant on a shady hilltop commands the best view of the
sea and offers Thai and Western cuisine a la carte - and of course
lots of fresh seafood.

Activities
Between November and April there are diving and snorkeling trips
from Khao Lak to the Similan Islands National Park, one of the
world's top dive sites. While staying at Similana, you can also
tour Phang Nga Bay by Chinese junk, fish, golf at a nearby international
standard golf course, or spend a day at Khao
Soke National Park. |
